embarrassment, it is to prevent the wholesale genocide of a struggling people again, as we let happen to the Vietnamese.
Never Again!
I will post about Vets For Russell on my blog and put up a link on my sidebar to your site.
If you speak to William Russell, please thank him for me for stepping up again to serve his country ~
All my best
Deb aka yankeemom
Conservative on the ballot. Please, Conservatives, be active and contribute to his campaign!
Although I no longer live in that voting district in PA (we lived in PA for 13 years from 1989 to 2002), I am encouraging all of my family members and friends who reside in Murtha's District to write in William T Russellname on Primary Day. From what I’ve read on various websites if he gets 1,000 write in votes he is eligible to run against Murtha in November. I hope this is correct!
Anybody that can get rid of that defeatist Murtha, is OK in my
book.
Rep. Murtha is an embarassment to all who are serving or have
served. I sincerely hope he is defeated
God bless LTC Russell for challenging Murtha! Way to go! He has my support and best wishes. Murtha is a discredit to the USMC, all American fighting forces and the U.S. Congress. Keep up the good work!
If anyone deserves to be ousted from the US Congress it is John
Murtha. He has served John Murtha and big business far too long. He is a national disgrace to the US Marine Corps and US Congress.
I wish you Godspeed and Victory HUAAAAH!!!!!

As for the last comment concerning contributing to Bill Russell's campaign, there is a link to both his campaign and his campaign donation page on our site: Vets4Russell http://vets4russell.blogspot.com/
Our site does not accept money for the Russell campaign.
even though I am not in his state. Murtha MUST go. For most Marines, once a Marine, always a Marine, but I beg to differ with Murtha. He is a traitor! My dad would never have prejudged Marines in this horrifying
manner.
friends. He does not represent our values.
War Veteran. I am happy to proclaim my support to you in your run for
Congress under the Republican ticket.
I wish you success on your endeavour and I am proud to call you, a fellow veteran, a brother.
government and his desire to rid his district of a corrupt politician
who's rush to judgement has negatively impacted our armed forces during
times of war, is to be commended. He is sacrificing his own successful
career to continue to serve his country as a civilian representative. He
deserves and has earned our unwavering support.
Murtha is voted out of office and Russell is the new congressman.
Politicians. Yet, I gave the little I could afford, to Murtha's last Opponent, a Mrs. Riley, I believe, in the last election cycle.
I will stand against Murtha, who is NO MARINE, till the day I die.
It motivates me to stand against a Putsch Marine who would unfairly and so publicly, without all the facts, seek to dishonor our fighting Corp members, merely for Political expediency, and personal advancement, within
the schema of the Pelosi / Obama Democratic Putsch.
one myself. Murtha has disgraced his office repeatedly since the 1980s.
I knew many patriotic Pennsylvanians on active duty who can certainly be relied on to join the effort to unseat this man. Go Russell. I'm going
to his site to donate right now.
Defeat Murtha and lay his political career to rest for once and for all!
We need good men in the Senate. Once you get in there hook up with my own Sen. Jim DeMint, one of the best. You can't go wrong with that combo!
crew (pardon the Navy jargon). I am not in your District or your state, and I do not plan on moving north of the Mason-Dixie Line, but I sure would love to see you knock Big John out of his seat.
Please - no disrespect intended in the following statement, but I kind of hope you are CONSERVATIVE and not another up-and-coming RINO. Jumping across the aisle is not becoming and it is weak. Congress and the Senate do not need to hold kangaroo-courts on sports figures, nor do they need to punish CEO's - they need to run the government. I am sickened
at the thought that a combat and decorated veteran, with 37 years in the US Marines would equate US Service Members to NAZI's
(National-Socialists (please see Note)), Khmer Rouge or bloody communists and hold a Congressional Seat.
Again sir ¦my prayers of safety are with you, your family and your troops. If you get the urge to run for the Senate in Virginia (hint -hint) ¦you should be able to oust Webb.
Thanks

Congress. It especially saddens me that he was a member of my beloved
USMC.
everything they can to undermine the War in Terror?" He didn't say
anything.
I'm including myself, Americans are ignorant in understanding politics & economics. I wasn't interested in taking those subjects in H.S. That was another mistake I've made in my life. I have, however, always been interested in U.S. history.
I've discovered a GREAT website that's helping me to understand how our founding father's thought,
especially now with us being in a constitutional crisis: patriotpost.com.
God bless our troops & have mercy on this nation
that is heading in the direction of the Devil!!!
Johnny Murtha. Seven of eight of the Haditha Marines that Murtha
purposely and repeatedly smeared have now been found not guilty or had their charges dismissed. The 8th has not yet had his day in court.
I fully support Bill Russell's courageous effort to dethrone the king of pork.
2008. We went with a group of veterans to John Murtha's office to ask if he wanted to apologize to the Marines I served in Haditha, Iraq in 2005-2006. Of course he had no time for us! Give em Hell Bill !!!!
Bill asap. Go get him! Let me know if I can help.
Pennsylvania in the 12th Congressional Dis. How can we send Senator Murtha to jail?
views and ANTI-Military heros.
The Arm forces need a law to better select officers for Miltary carreer, and a law that will prohibit retired personnel from lying about our military personnel. They (the murthas should be tried for treason)
who has used his office to enrich and promote himself at the expense of the US Armed Forces and the country in general. If Murtha's attacks on the people serving this country do not make him a traitor, then it is hard to
imagine anything that would make anyone fit the definition.
against these brave Marines during a time of war is nothing short of treason. His disgusting lies cost the US many soldiers lives by emboldening an enemy who watched this drama carefully through the Arab press. The direct responsibility for every single car bomb and IED explosion should be laid at his feet. The people of his district who
reelect him are guilty of war crimes for choosing blood money over integrity. They make me ashamed of being a native born Pennsylvanian and that shame will not cease until the tub of lard is out of of a job. I would have said work, but based on the nothing burger we have just been
served by Nanny Pelosi and murtha, describing what they do as work would be a stretch. I have three nephews on active duty now (one heading to Iraq) all Pennsylvania boys. I pray every day that they will not be "murthad".
the ground work. God is behind you! Murtha! out! You, Pelosi and Reid have disgraced our troops! You are a disgrace! Get out! A righteous man is taking over! God bless Vets4Congress! Sincerely! Wanda F Gladwill
support Russell.
Bless you and yours and your campaign.
I listened to you on Dr. Bennets show this morning. it has been
a long time since I have heard someone that made me want to vote for them.
If I could I would but wanted to post something anyway. Murtha needs to go and I can't imagine a better person to hand him his retirement. God Bless
CONGRESS, AND IF BILL RUSSELL STARTS A SIMILAR TREND ACROSS OUR GREAT LAND, MAYBE CONGRESS WILL START REPRESENTING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AGAIN INSTEAD OF RADICAL SPLINTER GROUPS AND LOBBYISTS.
World’s smallest violin: “I go on the floor of the House every day and deal with people who don’t want to give health care to poor little children in America.” —Nancy Pelosi
Well done Senator Hearts-and-minds, we need more like you like we need to drill offshore...no, wait, I got that backwards--that's ok, you did too.
I Served for 21yrs in the Navy, as a Hospital Corpsman and of those 21yrs 16 of them were with the FMF, and if there is one thing I learned it's, you never disparage another Marine.
Thank you for your service and fro being there as a Hospital Corpsman when we need you the most.
I know that Bill Russell will appreciate your support!
I sent $10 to Bill Russell's campaign and I challenge all US Veterans todo the same. Thousands of small contribution by Veterans could make the
difference in helping Bill kick the back-stabbing John Murtha out of
Congress.
with IFOR. He was one of the best military officers I have ever had the
chance to work with. I will support him 100% and would be honored to help
him get elected. We need more hard working and honest men like him
working for Vets.
cannot tar and feather him and run him out of Washington on a rail.
There is no honor in being a turncoat to your own brothers. All that would be necessary for Murtha to make it right with the Marines and their families is simply to say i'm sorry, I was wrong to castigate these Marines, and I apologize for what I have put these marines and families through. I have sent him over 4 faxes to his office requesting he do this. It's not that hard to say i'm sorry ... Not nearly as hard to as telling a family member that your Marine is not coming home because he was killed in combat by an explosive device involving a combatant in civilian clothes that he hesitated to shoot.
It's just not that hard to apologize Murtha ... Unless you are a slime ball.
Go get him Bill Russell - bring him down to size. The Marines will applaud you for it!
our freedom!
around at the formation of this great experiment, he would have been, tarred, feathered, drawn and quatered and his entrails would have been burned. He is a traitor who must be stopped.
he never cared about either one of them.
by showing him as unapposed in the race. My repeated calls to their instutite fo legislative action produced no satisfactory action.
Russell, not Murtha, should have received the NRA endorsement or at least they should not continue to support anyone in this race.
socialism, marxism, and communism! Murtha and his cronies have GOT TO GO!
tour of I Corps, he has since squandered in his long history of
anti-military statements, including his premature indictment of the Haditha Seven.
This should be a vacancy election, because Murtha should have had enough honor to have resigned.
But he doesn't, - it's all been squandered.
goes against the warrior code of conduct, maybe he has just forgotten who he is, we can not stand by why he stamps good people with such labels.
The liberals have stolen his mind.
the facts. I thought no one is guilty in this country until they've had their day in court. He does not deserve the position he holds or wishes to retain.
of hearing about Murtha's gaffes. I am certain that a serviceman with such a stellar record is a better candidate. Even though I do not live in
the district, I feel it's time to vote out those who disdain their
constituents. Col. Russell, thank you for running and good luck.
racists. I will vote against him and Senator Obama.
would be willing to consider taking payoffs for favorable legislation.
Murtha belongs in Jail.
fight for service connected disability as I went up aginst the disability board and the VA!!!
comments. Not only does he routinely disrespect our military personnel, now he accuses his constituents of racism. I was born and raised in New Jersey and will stand by my PA neighbors against Murtha's outrageous attack on hard-working folks who don't wish to vote for Socialism in America courtesy of the Democratic Party.
type. I've got fifty years experience. I see the Russell campaign as a microcosm of the Iraq vets running for office and McCain running for President. I have a plan to leverage the campaign with little or no cost.
I would be happy to talk to anyone with a hungry zeal to defeat Murtha and Obama, ASAP. My number is 480-730 5482 or daveweary@yahoo.com
our Army as a civilian now. I have been railing against John Murtha and his attitude toward our military. Now he's called my home area racists. Then, he gets to apologize by calling us rednecks. I wrote an email to his
Congressional office complaining about his dislike and disdain for the military and promising to vote against and actively campaign against him in any elections. It is time for him to go. I live overseas, but I want to
help. What can I do?
Thanks for serving your country both in the military and now as a government civil servent.
Of course Vote by absentee. make a campaign contribution to the Russell campaign, Lins are on this site to his campaign and /or to contribute.
Share with your fellow PA votes (family and friends).
Marine Division. I was disgusted by Murtha's statements following the incident in Haditha. Simply put, he was willing to forsake his brothers (former) in the Corp for some perceived gain in political stature bestowed upon him by the elitist who dominate the Democratic Party. I'm not
suggesting he should lend support to a convicted felon (UCMJ or
otherwise). But he made those public statements long before the details of the incident had been investigated. Consequently, he is either incredibly dim-witted, or he places the advancement of the Democratic Party above the welfare of our nation. So much so, that he is willing to destroy the prestige of our Armed Services, and any young Marine caught in his crosshairs.
has lost touch with the direction common American's across the heartland are hoping for.
Its time for a fresh perspective and I hope you are the person that can provide it.
time I see his name on the ballot I just get sick. I am hoping this time we will get him out of office
also informed Boswell that I would vote against him if he supported Murtha. I have 2 sons who are in the Military and will still serve if needed.
Thank you for your site.
political persuasion. Jack Murtha is an embarrassment to Pennsylvania, the American citizen and the U. S. Marine Corps. How hard is that choice?
enemies of this nation for personal political gain. Look at his words and conduct when not selected for a higher position by Pelosi. Code Pink supports this bird!
than a congressional office. So glad to see an 'honorable' veteran
running for his seat! Best of luck Bill!
Hoooha!
much as say,.. nagging arthritis pain.
contributed to his campaign all the way from Texas. Murtha has to go, he is a disgrace. I suppoer this webiste 100%. GO RUSSELL!!!!

However, his drastic change in support for Operation Iraqi Freedom and his well-publicized demand that all combat troops be immediately withdrawn in 2005 would have led to a collapse of the fledgling Iraqi governement and civil war in that country. I served as a contractor in Iraq and believe Murtha's desertion of the war effort could have led to the greatest crisis in the Middle East since the Yom Kippur War. Further, Murtha's eagerness
to condemn and indict his brother Marines before the outcome of a military investigation and trial after the Haditha incident revealed a willingness to serve the liberal anti-war movement rather than the honorable members
of the US military. John Murtha is a man who has, sadly, thrown his honor away in the hope for political rewards. LTC Bill Russell is a perfect replacement.
on Murtha, who,in my opinion is a borderline traitor and has defamed his own constituents by calling them racists and rednecks. He doesn't desrve to
breathe the same air as the service men he wrongly accused. He's a real weasel and I believe he's going to get what he got coming,"THE BOOT"
for this great country and with great soldiers. It sickens me when I see Murtha and his lies. Itâ?Ts bad enough from the people who never served, but its coming from some who knows better. Please get rid of this piece
of crap.
God Bless America and the people who defend it.
the first dependents allowed over in Germany at the end of WWII, so they made it back to Newport in time for me to show up during a blizzard in Feb so when Murtha first opened that mouth, I about went through to ceiling and Dad said find out who might be running cause he knows that when he goes to where "old soldiers never die, they just fade away" that I'll be coming home! So I want a MILITARY MAN who cares about all us and has that
record of honor. And when Murtha sneared out about a "damned Marine" well, on Okinawa to go swimming, I had to walk past the marine barraks to get to the pool. I have as my hubby said, 'the balls to face down the guys hey I knew that this time I needed to back you for us all back home and wanted for you to represent us, sop with pride I back you Sir! go forth and KICK
ASS!
Murtha has brought shame to us Pennsylvainians! Sir, Bring us that pride back! I just wish I were there now but as elest and Dad 86 soon 87 my place is here caring for him with pride! I pray you win for us sir!
This country does not need someone like John Murtha making decisions that are vital to our national security at a time when the very fibric of our nation is challenged on a daily basis.
Thank you for your service and willingness to seek public office. I applaud your fortitude to take on an entrenched congressman (whom I have no respect for) and wish you the best next Tuesday. Funds are on the way..... wait. To you and your supporters, a big ALOHA!

worthless medical research at Johnstown. I can re-direct him to better and current program for injured VETS with AFIRM-project at Pittsburgh & McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Bill needs to meet Dr. Alan J. Russell at the Institute - use a SEARCH Engine - and be acquainted. I
would be delighted to sit down with these fellows and explain the remedies that are available but now wasted. Q.E.D. Contractor Jim~~ 330~418~6449

ALWAYS A MARINE"
Kick that non-hacking homo loving, anit-american, ex-marine out of office!
GODS, GUNS, AND BABIES -- I VOTE AGAINST DEMOCRATS!
years overseas (nearly 11 total years OCONUS), let me assure you that John Murtha has proven himself not to have the best interests of the US and Pennsylvanians. It is time for him to be reitred to a life of quiet reflection outside of the
public view where he can do no more harm.
Jack, you should resign and call it a day. You know you are only as good as your last log entry at your end of watch.

Murtha is constantly being re-elected. Do the people in his district watch the news. When they interview this guy as someone who comes from PA, I'm embarassed this guy is identified as a PA Congressman.
Thank you for this site.
Thank you for sharing your comment. As a 22 year veteran, I pray for the safe return of your son. And, I thank him for serving our country.
If you wish, you may alos post his name to the "roll call." Not cities are identified.
In one of his last moves before leaving office March 13, then-Navy
Secretary Donald Winter quietly awarded 19-term Democratic congressman John Murtha (Pa.) with the service's highest civilian honor.
not uphold our values and standards... Murtha must go!
Semper Fi.
I often wonder what gets him re-elected in Pa. This is truly beyond my mental grasp.
I spent 5 years+ in RVN imbedded with the U.S.M.C.(SEA 06/67 to 07/73). Entered RVN 06/67 and left RVN with the last ~1000 Marines.
During this period of time I provided technical support of various technial projects (contracted & 'in spare time') from Chu Li to above Da Nang.
I had the Honor to be with 1St. MAW, all of their units. I also was able to be involved with various Marine units in the field. At no time did I ever hear of any Murtha events. When out in country, I bunked with the
troops up to LCol.s and such activities I never heard of a hint of such activities.
The U.S.M.C. took great efforts to ensure the Vietnamese people were treated well. They provided medical support for anyone who needed it. One time a known V.C. area chief came in shot up. He was treated and released. The reason, if he was captured, the V.C. would use this as a propaganda tool. They got him later.
The U.S.S.C. uses their Brains first, their Might second.
I have been involved for 37 1/2 years in various defence activities as an engineer outside the office(32+ yr.s out of the U.S.A.) and have NOT witnessed anything that would bring shame on any of the U.S. Military branches. (other than the odd drunk)
This is my opinion and has no hidden agenda.
I am very proud to have been able to be with the U.S.M.C during this time. Iremain friends with many Marines today that I knew so many years ago, and still remember those who did not return home.
replace the reprobates that serve themselves in Congress, our national leadership will not be effective, and it will continue to undermine the values and character that make us first, Americans. Godspeed and Semper Fidelis. Danna Palmer, MarineMom
less pontiificators like Jack Murtha.
