Mark "Snooper" Harvey at The Snooper Report: I had the honor and pleasure to accompany LTC William Russell and a handful of Haditha Marines a while back as we visited Murtha. Murtha would not see us. Later on, Cyber Pastor [Ed Boston], LTC Russell and myself had lunch as we began assaulting the dishonorable halls of CONgress. If I lived in Pennsylvania, I would be voting for LTC William Russell.

Unlike the old days, these headlines aren't only coming from our conservative allies. Nearly every "mainstream" news agency has its eye on the man from PA's 12th Congressional District - and they're not covering ribbon-cuttings at those infamous 'shovel-ready' projects!

Even his liberal allies now view Mr. Murtha as Washington's anti-change agent.

Now to old Murtha friends and allies, that's just 'Jack being Jack' - the price of getting things done for Johnstown. But for those of us who live in the real world, Mr. Murtha's controversy-of-the-hour is a tragic study in corrupt power politics.
